‘Click and Collect’ Comes to Abbey Wood

When the community consultation was conducted in Abbey Wood in 2015, the majority of respondents wanted to see an online pick-up point in Wilton Road. Well good news! McColl’s has provided a pick-up point in the local branch. Industry intelligence provider Planet Retail published in-depth research showing that the number of UK shoppers using click & collect is poised to more than double by 2017.

Currently, 35% of online shoppers in the UK buy online and self-collect, which is significantly higher than other established eCommerce markets such as the US and Germany, but this figure is expected to jump to 76% in the next three years. Click & Collect allows customers to collect and return packages in Wilton Road from 6am-10pm; especially perfect for commuters.
